Premier League Tip – 20/8/12

Apologies for this tip being posted a little later than usual, but with team news being streamed throughout the day, there is some good value in the Premier League fixture tonight.

With a small injury crisis in the Man United defence – Smalling, Evans, Jones and Ferdinand will all miss out on the opener – Michael Carrick is likely to play alongside Vidic, who returns after his horror knee injury. Man United are always susceptible to conceding, especially away from home, and their recent form against Everton has been nondescript at best, throwing away comfortable leads twice in the last two seasons. Previous games between these sides have brought goals and entertainment though, and connect nicely to the tip for this evening’s fixture.

Man United at Evens isn’t a bad bet, especially against a side renowned for poor starts in the Premier League, but with the likelihood that Everton will grab a goal; BTTS at 1.84 is probably a better bet. Both sides have plenty of creativity and firepower, along with slightly sub-par defences. With the unquestionable attacking prowess at Sir Alex’s disposal, you could potentially see a very one sided affair. It’s a tough game to call, but one thing I am confident in is goals…

Fancy a correct score? Try 1-2 (9/1) or 1-3 (18/1)
