Premier League Tips – Tuesday 1/1/13Comments Off

Happy new year to all!! As it’s New Years Day, today’s (and tomorrow’s) Premier League tips will be available for all! Share the word by letting people know they can access these tips for free! Looking to get the year off to a flyer…

West Ham v Norwich (3pm)

With a few players missing due to suspension, the home side will have to play well to get all three points against an increasingly impressive Norwich side. The away side have lost their last three, although these games included Chelsea (0-1) and Man City (3-4). They have surpassed many people’s expectations already this season and after their poor start have found themselves well clear of the drop as it stands. West Ham will be without James Collins and influential captain Kevin Nolan, and with Carroll and Diame still out through injury they will be up against it here. With just two wins in their last 8 at home, Norwich have more than enough to ensure this poor form continues. With just one clean sheet between them in their last 16 games combined, over 2.5 at 1.92 (32red) looks like decent value. However, my tip today is the away side…

Wigan v Man United (3pm)

After a 2-0 win at home a few days ago, Man Utd have a hugely winnable game away at Wigan, who have been in poor form of late, only rescued by their 3-0 win at a woeful Aston Villa. With 5 defeats in their last 7, anything but a comfortable away win would be a shock. With RVP likely to start after being rested in their last outing, I expect an early goal from the away side who have scored 17 in their last 6 games. Wigan have the potential to cause some problems though, so cant be completely dismissed, especially against a United defence that has leaked a huge 28 goals already this season (Man City 19, Chelsea 18, Stoke 17, Arsenal 21). Their attacking presence has got them through this season, and they will again prove to be too much for Wigan. To get over evens on this bet today shows great value!

Southampton v Arsenal (5:30pm)

After scoring 7 goals at the weekend, Arsenal will come in to this game against the 2nd worst defence in the Premier League brimming with confidence. Theo Walcott was outstanding and looks to have proven himself as a central front man; for the time being at least. They created so many opportunities against Newcastle it is hard to imagine that they won’t do the same again. Southampton let a 2 goal lead slip at the weekend to drop a crucial two points at Stoke. Goals are on the cards here, and you can get over 4.5 goals at 4.5 which is decent value. However, I expect the gulf in class between the two sides to be prominent and should be the main sway in bet selection. Back the away team in one way or another. My tip at 2.27 looks far too big – I personally would have priced it at 1.95 (approx)…

Liverpool v Sunderland (Wednesday – 7:45pm)

The only bet from the three Premier League games today is the best value of the game week in my opinion. The unpredictability of Liverpool is there for all to see this season, and this game should be no exception. They have the ability to dominate most teams in this league, however, they have not been able to do this enough this season. Too many times they have come unstuck against sides they should be capable of beating comfortably. Their 4-0 demolition of Fulham is a prime example of what they are capable of, but their 3-1 defeat to a poor Aston Villa side shows the other side of their game. Sunderland have turned a corner recently, winning three of their last five, losing only to Man Utd and Spurs. If they stifle the home side early on, they have a chance of sneaking all three points. The value on this game therefore is on the away side, and the market is skewed so much that even a one goal defeat will generate more profit for our members…
