Part two. After originally pulling a winning bet in the Bucks +2 for a total that went just over, I feel quite hard done by and I’ve decided to play the other two bets I originally picked out. Both have a good chance of coming in, of course, but if only one manages to make it over the line then no harm done. We’ve currently lost 1 more bet than we’ve won, and with a 1-1 later we’d be in the same situation, but 3-1, 1-2, 0-3, whatever happens.. let’s just wait and see with our fingers crossed, but here are my weekends last two plays.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs are just such a strong, well organized team and they just score so well. Especially at home. Not only are the Wolves an average defensive side but since Love has been injured it’s really hit on their offense too. It’s not guarantee they won’t score points tonight, but they’ve certainly struggled with consistency and against a side this good it’d make sense they might put in one of those inconsistent performances tonight. They’ve allowed comfortably over 100 points in their last four and 6 of the last 7 against a couple of average sides, while the Spurs are averaging much higher than that at home. If the Wolves aren’t REALLY on their game I just wonder how long they can stay with the Spurs for in this game. With 4 long term injuries already, Wolves could have Barea and Lazar out tonight also.
San Antonio -12 @ 1.90 with Pinnacle
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Portland Trail Blazers
The two met earlier in the season when Thunder won 106-92. Their were 198 points in a game where the total was set at 206. As good as the Thunder are offensively they can also play a mean defense, and they’ll be going up against a Portland side that have kept teams to under 100 points in 11 of their 12 home games and the likes of San Antonio and Miami Heat amongst many other strong shooting sides are included in that run. Oklahoma have predominantly been an unders side recently having seen 4 of the last 5, and 5 of their last 7 away go comfortably under. The Trailblazers have also made a very big habit of games going under at the Rose Garden this season, also. Let’s try the unders.
