Football Tips – 28/1/13Comments Off

I have just one tip today. It comes from Spain and might not be what you’re expecting. Sometimes there is value in the market that can’t be ignored, today is a prime example.

Sevilla v Granada (8:30pm)

With just three points separating the two sides, this fixture will more than likely be closer than the odds suggest. Everything in the market suggests a convincing home win, although I am not so sure. Only once this season have Sevilla won convincingly (5-1 defeat of Betis). This was certainly an anomalous result; and to expect that to occur again anytime soon wouldn’t be logical. Granada haven’t been great away from home, and is partly the reason they sit just two points outside the relegation zone. Saying this, they actually have more points from their travels than at home. Add in the fact that they have gone to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Betis already this season (3 of the top 4), they haven’t fared too badly. So, the surprise here is backing the away side. Not to win, not even to get a point!! The value in the market means they can lose and STILL give us a winner. A top value bet.
