After a very inconsistent weekend from myself which saw just the 3 winners from 7 bets I’m determined to bounce back with an excellent midweek of betting.

Mogi mirim vs Ituano (7pm)

Mogi mirim are on an excellent run and I’m expecting them to continue they’re impressive run against a struggling Ituano side. Mogi mirim  are currently fourth in the table and have only lost 1 game which was away to Corinthians. Mogi have scored a fantastic 12 goals in just 5 games with 7 different goal scorers, I really like mogi forward Ronei who has the 2 goals to his name and 4 assists the young forward has become the pivotal point of Mirim’s attacks. Ituano are really struggling at the moment and although they won they’re last game they were extremely lucky to especially with Mirassol hitting the post several times. I can’t see anything but a Mogi Mirim victory in this game.

England vs Brazil (7:30pm)

I’m sure the patriotic among you won’t enjoy reading this but I will be extremely surprised to see England grab any result against Brazil. With Brazil stepping up their preparation and with manager Luis Scolari back in charge there is a new found positivity around the entire Brazil camp. This new found positivity has also come in ordinance with Ronaldinho’s recall to the side and R10 will be eager to show he can still contribute on the international stage. Traditionally in friendlies England tend to make a lot of changes in the second half of games and the replacements that they can bring in will not be able to match the quality of the Brazilian squad. We should see the traditional 4-3-3 formation from Brazil with Neymar on the left side of the attack Hulk on the right side and either Luis Fabiano or Fred as the no.9 and whichever one it is they’ll provide an active goal threat. England will just be looking for a positive performance from their players in a match that they are surely expecting to lose especially with the gap in quality.

Sao Bernardo vs XV de Piracicaba (9:30pm)

This is the game that I’m most looking forward to in this round of state championship fixtures because basically its two teams that can’t defence. Sao Bernardo will go down at the end of the season but it won’t be without a fight and the side are great to watch as they throw players forward at every given opportunity. XV were excellent against Pal the weekend and really should have won the game, XV are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league so far and I can’t see this changing anytime soon especially with their managers philosophy of out and out attacking football. This game should be full of goal and I’d advise that you watch it if you get the opportunity.

Linense vs Santos (9:30pm)

First travels to third in the Paulista championship in what should be an excellent match up, Linense are exceeding all expectations so far and remain unbeaten in the league thus far. Although it pains me to back against Santos I have no choice especially with them missing Arouca and Neymar who have both been called up to the Brazil squad. Without Arouca, Santos will have to play F.Anderson who is much more of an attacking player than Arouca so Santos will have very little protection to what is already a poor defence. Without top goal scorer and all around best player Neymar then Santos will really struggle to create much, Pinga should be given the opportunity to play in Neymar’s role but I can’t see him having any positive outcome on the game.

Friburguense vs Flamengo (11:59pm)

I stand by my last losing bet of overs in the Flamengo game and ill be going in for the same bet this time round, Flamengo managed over 100 dangerous attacks (bet365 stats) against nova and were really unlucky not to make an early break through. Friburguense will not fear Flamengo especially with their ability from set pieces which has proved Flamengo’s weak point for the last couple of seasons. With a bit more rub of the green Flamengo should be able to score a few goals this game as they look to utilise the space that Friburguense will leave in wide positions.
