After a great winner on last weekend’s early value tip and a great reception from members, I’ve scoured to markets extra early once more to try and bring you the best value possible.
Rayo Vallecano v Valladolid (11:00am Sunday)
Those of you watching Sky Sports’ coverage of La Liga over the past couple of weeks will have noticed two things about Rayo Vallecano. Firstly, they are a poor away side. Secondly, and most importantly for this fixture, they are fantastic at home. Their most recent match hosting Atletico Madrid was a complete whitewash, perhaps moreso than the 2-1 final scoreline suggested. They have now won 8 of their 12 home matches and sit comfortably in 7th position in the league, winning their last four at home in the process. Valladolid on the other hand have hit a mental stumbling block and are now without a win in four. Their away form has also been poor, having W3-D2-L6 of their 11 matches on the road. More worryingly, they looked completely flat against Atletico and were played off the park, made to look more like an away side than one that has a decent home advantage. Much of this is down to the loss of Patrick Ebert through injury, his absence extremely likely to continue into this match, whom they have not won a single game without this season. In fact, when reviewing the training sessions for Valladolid this week, no fewer than 6 players were absent through injury. Missing or not for the actual game, they will not be 100% match fit and I expect Valladolid to be just as flat as they have been in recent weeks.
