Brazilian bets 28/03/13Comments Off

Another night of Brazilian state championship football and with lots of value floating about I’m confident that it will be another profitable night.

Santos vs Mogi Mirim (10:30PM)

Two of the paulista championship’s more attacking sides meet at the Vila Belmiro so Santos look to secure their play-off spot against Serie C side Mogi Mirim. Santos will welcome back Neymar from international duty and he is expected to slot right back into the team bringing an extra creative spark to the side whilst Montillo is expected to play a minor role in the game probably from the bench giving Giva a chance to continue his good run of form. Mogi Mirim have the league’s most potent attack even outscoring the likes of Santos, Sao Paulo and Corinthians and with Santos terrible defensive record especially against teams that attack in wide positions I believe It spells goals in this game.

Sao Bernardo vs Atletico Sorocaba (10:30PM)

I’ve not done a corner bet for a couple of weeks now as no game met my criteria for a bet until this one came along and I thought the Asian line would be around 14.00 for this game so when I saw it was 12.5 it became an instant bet. Sao Bernardo play very wide as they look to utilise poor full backs in this division to make the most of their pacey forward line which is a reason they average the most corners in the league. Sorocaba will play a compact game packing their defence whilst sitting very deep playing on the counter attack, I’m expecting Sorocaba to weigh in with around 4 corners and I have no problem leaving Sao Bernardo to cover the remaining 9 as I feel that they’ll get around 11-12 in the match.

Botafogo vs Friburguense (10:30PM) – Postponed

Botafogo host Frib in what should prove to a tough game for Bota, Frib will come and make the game tough for bota by playing a 5-4-1 rigid formation looking to suffocate Bota’s front men. With Seedorf suspended Bota will miss that creative spark that he offers going forward so I can’t see them creating to many chances. Commanding centre half Doria will start for Bota which will automatically make Bota hard to break down as he is potentially the best defender inside Rio. I think unders represents great value this game.

Gremio vs Cruzeiro RS (10:30PM)

Gremio face Cruzeiro RS as they look to continue their good run of form with another impressive performance and 3 points. Cruzeiro have a couple of players doubtful as their side looks to recover from a stomach bug picked up last week.  Gremio will once again play with 3 forwards and they’re expected to be Welliton who had a fantastic game the weekend, Hernan Barcos who is always a massive goal threat and probably the best goal poacher inside Brazil and Vargas who has been magnificent since signing on loan from Napoli. I really like Gremio to score both halves again here as I’m expecting them to dominate large periods of the game.

Oeste vs Guarani (00:00)

After a disastrous start to the campaign Oeste have finally got their act together and look to be making a late surge towards the play off places but they’ll need to get a win here if they are to do so. Guarani have struggled all season especially away from home and with their poor defence I can’t see them containing Oeste or picking up anything from this game. Oeste are still as poor as ever in defence and its very rare you’ll find me backing them to win a game due to this poor defence but Guarani have a pathetic attack that even Oeste won’t have much trouble dealing with and as soon as that first Oeste goal goes in the Guarani players who are already low on confidence will lack belief they can get back into the game. Because it’s a must win game for Oeste I’ll be backing htem to do exactly that.
