Brazilian tips 10/04/13Comments Off

After a fantastic weekend in Brazil I have four bets spreading over 3 competitions.

Uniao barbarense vs Sao Paulo (11:30PM)

Already qualified Sao Paulo travel to Barbarensse who are in desperate need of a result in order to get themselves out of a relegation scrap this season. Sao Paulo won their last game 3-1 against Botafogo SP who did finish the game with 9 men but Sao Paulo managed to dominate the wide positions. Barbarense will have to go all out for the attack and I’m confident that they’ll throw caution to the wind in order to grab themselves a result here. I think the corner market is an excellent bet tonight with the Asian corner line being at 11.00 so that’s the bet i’ll be taking.

Santa Cruz vs Guarani (12:30AM)

Santa Cruz host Guarani in the second leg of the Copa do Brasil, with Santa already 2-1 up front the first leg you have to fancy their chances of progressing to the next round. Santa Cruz will have around 25,000 spectators at the game something the Guarani players won’t be used to and I feel that the pressure will get to them. Renatinho was fantastic for Santa first leg and I can see him having another big performance from the wide man. Santa HT/FT represents real value this game as they’ll be looking to quickly wrap the job up.

Flamengo PI vs Santos (2AM)

Santos will travel to non league Flamengo PI for their first match in this years Copa Do Brasil, Santos will treat this years competition as a priority as the winner will receive a place in the Copa Lib. Santos will start with their strongest XI with Neymar,Montillo and Giva all expect to start, Flamengo will not be able to deal with the tempo of the Santos play. Flamengo PI will be missing their first choice right back who will be a huge miss and they don’t have anyone else capable of coping with the pace of Neymar going forward.

Gremio vs Fluminense (2AM)

Gremio and Fluminense meet in what will prove to be a crucial game in this Copa Libertedores group as it looks very unlikely that both of these sides will progress to the knockout phases. Gremio dominated Fluminense in the first game between these sides as they ran out 3-0 winners, although I feel the game will be a bit closer I still feel that the result will be the same with Gremio coming out on top. Vargas caused Fluminense no end of problems in the first game between these sides and I can see him having another stunning game as he looks to drop into the hole and receive the ball to feet.
