Tonight Henry, Cahill and the Red Bulls will face a tough test in the high altitude of Denver.
A winning start to the membership period will certainly do us. Just the one bet tonight will hopefully help us build on previous wins, but either way we’re guaranteed a winning start after fixture list #1. The next fixture list for us will be on the weekend, when MLS continues and the Gold Cup begins.
Colorado Rapids vs; NY Red Bulls – (2.30am)
The Rapids will be hoping to cap their big 4th July celebrations with a win over the Red Bulls, something they’ve done here many times before. The overall history of the fixture sides heavily with the Rapids, and there’s a clear possibility of goals. The last 6 Rapids games have gone Over 2.5 goals, whilst so have the last 5 meetings with MLS teams for the Red Bulls. 6 of the last 7 meetings between the sides have gone Over and in their 13 MLS meetings, 8 have seen at least 4 goals. The Red Bulls have never won on July 4th and often struggle in the altitude when they come here. The expected heat certainly won’t help them this evening and I don’t think they’ll leave with points, but they definitely have enough talent in Henry, Espindola and Cahill to put the ball in the net. The Rapids are fresh off a stunning 4-3 win in Montreal, although it was the second game in a row they’ve conceded 3 goals.
