We’ll resume full NBA service from here on in, beginning with two Eastern affairs this evening.
Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat – (12.30am)
These two have produced some amazing games in the past few seasons – mainly in Boston – but the Celtics are completely messed up and they have one of the worst teams in the East. Their team may have been ageing, but what’s replaced the likes of Garnett is next to nothing and I’m surprised they won 2 games this season. 0-6 at this stage would not have surprised me, but they’re certainly going to be losing tonight. Wade is providing he still has it with 20.6 points per game, and LeBron is going to have a field day today. In some situations he goes for the self-less approach and provides assists galore, but against this weak Boston team, he’ll know the points are there for the taking and he should easily be thinking about at least 30+ tonight.
Orlando Magic @ Atlanta Hawks – (12.30am)
The Magic travel to Atlanta with a 5-1 ATS record on the season and they’re surprising some people. They really came to life for a period during the second half of the season last year and their young group is playing hard for one another every night at the moment. The Hawks are in a small transition and whilst that is happening it’s clearly going to be hard for them to pull out easy victories against any side that plays hard enough. Orlando will play hard tonight and the Hawks have been involved in a lot of close games so far this season. This one could come down to a defensive effort in the end, and the Magic have put out slightly better numbers in that area than Atlanta.
