Sunday has been a great day for us of late, and I am aiming to continue the trend and hopefully continue the form of 7 wins from 10 tips (with average odds of 2.16) on a Sunday.
Spurs v Man United (12pm)
NEC Nijmegen v AZ Alkmaar (3:30pm)
AZ won in midweek in a comfy 2-0 game that they controlled for the majority. With time to recover and no travelling needed in midweek, I expect them to be fresh and raring to go as they look to continue their push to reach the top of the table.
NEC are weak defensively but push for goals. I expect the AZ defence to hold our long enough for their strikers to get a goal and put them in to the lead. Once they take the lead I think the hosts will struggle to pull it back.
Man City v Swansea (4:10pm)
After their defeat in midweek, and now being without any first choice striker, I expect Swansea to really struggle here against a Man City side who have been nothing short of ruthless at home.
The away side have been far from convincing this season and their usual strategy of possession football won’t work here today. Man City will be quick out of the blocks and will take the game to Swansea.
Chelsea v Southampton (4:10pm)
We backed Southampton on this same line last weekend when they travelled to Arsenal and they more than competed. In my opinion they deserved a point. A dodgy but of work from Boruc and some good saves at the other end meant the 2-0 score like flattered the league leaders.
Today I think Southampton will get a result. Again they are big underdogs is we can add some insurance using the Asian handicap market.
Monchengladbach v Freiburg (4:30pm)
So far this season I have backed Monchengladbach on 6 occasions, winning ALL 6. Today is no exception and I fully expect to make it 7/7. I have opposed them once (backing Bayern -2.50) on the opening day and they covered their line, so I should have backed them then too!
With no new injury news, and a side that have won a perfect 6/6 at home this season (scoring 20, conceding 4), they will be raring to go against a Freiburg side who played just 3 days ago in a tough Europa League fixture in the Czech Republic. Gladbach have won ALL 6 home games by 2 or more goals, and won by 3 goals on 4 occasions already. This includes a 2-0 win over Dortmund, and comfy wins over Hannover, Bremen and Frankfurt. Freiburg have managed to win their last two away games, so at first glance opposing them may seem unwise. However, these wins were at the bottom two sides in the league; two sides that are far inferior to their opponents here. Against strong sides, they have lost 5-0 to Dortmund on the road, and lost 3-1 at Leverkusen.
The home side have several players with the ability to score, and this will make it a tough day for the visitors. I think they have the potential to win by 3+ goals here.
