1-0 yesterday evening and Here are today’s NBA bets.
Orlando Magic @ Washington Wizards
The first game of the night comes as the Magic visit Washington to take on John Wall and his high flying Wizards. Despite a poor start to the season, and 13 losses from 14 November games last season, the Wizards have clearly improved a lot this year. They’re 8-9 this season and 9-8 ATS. Not only have they improved, they already held a pretty commanding record over Orlando anyway. They’re just 1-6 ATS against the Wizards, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 trips to Washington. Orlando will not stop John Wall and 25-30 points should be expected again. Orlando are 3-8 ATS overall and the Wizards are 5-0 ATS when playing an opponent that conceded 100+ points in their previous game.
Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz
I don’t know if James Harden is going to play for Houston and if he doesn’t, that probably explains why the line is only -7. There is zero doubting that the Rockets are at least10 points better than this Jazz side regardless of where the game takes place. Houston is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite, and they’ve 5-0 ATS against teams with a losing record this season. They’re also 4-0 ATS on the back of an ATS win, which is important as they did beat impressively beat the Spurs last time out. They’re 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and if the Jazz give them the space, they’ll make shots all night. They’re 4-0 ATS playing on a single day rest so far this season and everything is pointing towards this Rockets side that has a lot of ways to score. If the game gets away from this Jazz side at any point, I’m not sure how much they’ll chase it.
Indiana Pacers @ Portland Trailblazers
The Pacers are 15-1 this season and the Trailblazers are an equally respectable 12-3. They’ve been a slight surprise package but it’s still obvious they don’t have quite as much quality as the Pacers have, but it’s all about who shows up tonight. Portland are certainly well rested having played a couple times in 5 days. The Pacers are 11-1 ATS against a side that scored 100+ points last time out. They’re 10-2 ATS as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5 points so they’re used to winning tight games, and you’d certainly expect this one to be just that. Despite them being an ATS backer dream so far this season, Portland are just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games. The key trend for me seems to be that Portland are 0-5 ATS against teams with a win percentage above .600 (60%), and the Pacers are 23-9 ATS, so there’s every reason to keep backing them.
