The Bundesliga starts here, with the reigning champions Bayern Munich playing hosts to Wolfsburg. Bayern beat Wolfsburg 6-1 the last time they met in the Bundesliga, so the visitors will be up against it. Bayern welcome Robert Lewandowski to their ranks, whilst Wolfsburg welcome Nicolas Bendtner from Arsenal.
On paper the home side should win this comfortably, but Wolfsburg would like to start the season off with an upset, however unlikely. I slightly favour the away side here on the Asian Handicap market, Anything above 1.75 is decent for this bet. The away side have made some good signings. Aaron Hunt was Bremen's best player by a mile last season, so getting him on a free is a great bit of business. Then Sebastiean Jung from Frankfurt is a good signing too, as is Guilavogui from Atletico (2 year loan). They have strengthened, and did well last season, so they have the potential to compete here.
Bayern are obviously a strong side, but their 2-0 defeat against Dortmund shows they aren't invincible. They didn't cover this handicap in 11/18 league games last season at home. This included not winning by more than two in any of their first 4 league games at the Allianz Arena. Wolfsburg will create and can cause some problems. If it doesn't click right away for bayern, they might be on the wrong end of a shock result.
