What a big game for Moyes and Man United. After losing 2-1 at the Stadium of Light, they need to win here to have a shot at getting to Wembley in the competition that is their most likely chance of silverware. The way things are going, this may well be their best chance of qualifying for Europe (unless things change, which they certainly should)
Sunderland are yet to visit the new Wembley, and they come in to this game knowing they are in the driving seat. With 9,000 Mackams expected to be at Old Trafford, they will have the support.
United are far too short here today. With no van Persie or Vidic along with Rooney likely to miss out again too, their squad is depleted. Fellaini and Nani are also missing, and the squad it starting to look threadbare and full of mediocre players.
Sunderland could have no better motivation from this game, both from the victory in the first leg, and the prospect of a trip to Wembley and a shot at some silverware. AMazingly, Sunerland have lost just 1 game in their last 10 (TEN) fixtures in all competitions, yet they are HUGE underdogs here today. As usual, we can use this to our advantage in the Asian Handicap market and take them with more than 1 goal handicap, meaning profit providing they don't lose by 2 or more.
Adam Johnson is key, and has been an integral part in the North East club's good form. Along with Borini they have really added something to the side from an attacking perspective of late, and I will be very surprised if the away side don't score.
Even with talk of Rooney 'maybe' playing a part, I still think United are too short, so we're going with the value
